Telangana bus accident: 45 Indian pilgrims killed in Saudi Arabia

A tragic bus crash near Madina on November 17 took the lives of 45 Indian Umrah pilgrims, most from Telangana.
Only one passenger, Md Abdul Shoaib from Hyderabad, survived and remains in critical condition.
The accident happened when their bus collided with a diesel tanker and caught fire—most passengers are believed to have been asleep at the time.

The Telangana government has announced ₹5 lakh compensation for each victim's family, and the Indian Consulate in Jeddah set up a 24/7 helpline to support them.
Officials are working with Saudi authorities to identify victims and are in discussions regarding repatriation.
