Three daughters joined Sonipat old-age home resident's funeral by video

In Sonipat, Haryana, an elderly man passed away in an old-age home after a prolonged illness.
His three daughters, living in Mumbai, Nepal, and Uttar Pradesh, joined his funeral only through a video call, despite being told about his condition weeks earlier.
The eldest daughter sent money online for the rituals and asked that everything be done properly.
Old-age home staff performed last rites
With no family present, old-age home staff and locals performed the last rites.
The daughters requested videos of the ceremony and asked for their father's ashes to be immersed in the Ganga since they couldn't travel.
The home also helped with eye donation as per their wishes. Staff shared that while he was proud of his daughters' achievements, they rarely spoke to him during his illness.
