#CareerBytes: How to crack AIIMS MBBS exam in first attempt?

The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) is the dream destination for medical aspirants in the country. AIIMS MBBS Entrance Exam is the gateway to admission to AIIMS campuses across India. It's one of the toughest exams, but aspirants can crack it in the first attempt with right preparation and dedication. Here are some tips to crack AIIMS exam in the first attempt.

#1
Proper planning, a must for cracking AIIMS in first attempt

To clear the AIIMS entrance in the first attempt, aspirants must first create an effective timetable to study. It is essential to have a proper plan to prepare for the exam. Also, candidates must start their preparation as early as possible; at least 8-12 months before. This will ensure they have enough time to study and thoroughly revise every topic and avoid last-minute confusion.

#2
Collect good books and study material for preparation

Apart from a good study timetable, students should also have a good collection of books, including NCERT books, and study material to crack the AIIMS entrance. They should know the latest syllabus, exam pattern, and questioning trends and choose books/material accordingly. They should, however, avoid consulting too many reference books and have 1-2 books per topic to avoid confusion while preparing for the exam.

#3
Focus on understanding concepts; revise each topic multiple times

Students should focus on understanding the concepts rather than blindly memorizing them; this will help them retain information for longer. While prioritizing important topics (as per weightage) and subjects is important, candidates shouldn't skip any topic/subject. They must revise each topic multiple times before the exam. Aspirants should prepare short notes while studying for quick revision of the topics and concepts they learn.

#4
Solving question papers and analyzing performance regularly is important

To crack AIIMS entrance in the first attempt, solving previous question papers and sample papers is necessary. They should solve question papers in a timed manner to know the exam pattern, difficulty level, questioning trends, etc. and manage time better in the exam. Aspirants should take mock tests and analyze their performance on a regular basis, identify weak areas, and work on getting better.

Information
#5: Students should build confidence and overcome stress

To crack AIIMS entrance in the first attempt, apart from focusing on the academic aspect, students need to build confidence and overcome stress. They should maintain good health and avoid studying for long hours; they must take breaks, eat healthy, relax, and get sufficient sleep.
