TN: 36 dead, over 40 injured in stampede at political rally
A heartbreaking stampede at a political rally in Karur, Tamil Nadu on Saturday left 36 people dead and over 40 injured.
Crowds had gathered to hear actor-turned-politician Vijay speak, but as the evening went on, many, including children, collapsed after hours of waiting.
Vijay quickly called for ambulances and water, ending his speech early to help calm the situation.

Rahul Gandhi urged Congress workers to step up relief efforts, while Arvind Kejriwal highlighted the loss of so many women and children.
Other leaders like Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and JP Nadda also expressed their support and prayers for those injured.
