T.N. police apprehend long-time terror suspect

After almost three decades hiding from the law, Abubacker Siddique—a key terror suspect—was finally arrested by Tamil Nadu's Anti-Terrorism Squad in Andhra Pradesh.
He's accused of being behind a string of bomb blasts, murders, and attacks across Tamil Nadu and nearby states, including the deadly 1995 Hindu Munnani office bombing in Chennai.

TL;DR

Siddique and Ali's suspected involvement in major attacks

Siddique is suspected of organizing several major attacks: a parcel bomb in Nagore, coordinated police station bombings in Tamil Nadu and Kerala (1999), a pipe bomb at L.K. Advani's rally (2011), Dr. Arvind Reddy's murder (2012), and a blast outside Bengaluru BJP office (2013).
In a related move, ATS also arrested Mohammed Ali—on the run for 26 years for his role in the 1999 bombings.
Both men are now in judicial custody as investigators work to dismantle their wider network.
