Traffic congestion thwarts Gadkari's project inspection
Union Minister Nitin Gadkari had to cancel his Pune trip on Monday after his convoy got caught in heavy traffic—thanks to rush hour, rain, and crowding.
Ironically, he was headed to check out a project meant to ease congestion.
Local MLA Hemant Rasane said Gadkari plans to come back another day.

India's 1st tunneling center of excellence
Even with the traffic mess, Gadkari went ahead and opened India's first Tunneling Center of Excellence at MIT World Peace University.
The new center—set up with Tata Projects and Sandvik—will focus on research and training for better infrastructure.
At the event, Gadkari highlighted how tunneling is key for India's future projects worth up to ₹3 lakh crore.
