Tragic electrocution of young girl in Bengaluru

India

Tragedy struck in Narayanaghatta village, Bengaluru, when 11-year-old Tanishka was electrocuted after accidentally touching a live electric pole while playing near her home during a school holiday. She was rushed to the hospital but sadly couldn't be saved. Her family is heartbroken and blames Bescom (Bangalore Electricity Supply Company Limited) for not keeping the area safe.

Family's allegations and ongoing investigation

Tanishka's family says Bescom ignored maintenance of streetlights, which they believe led to this accident. Police are now looking into what happened. While electrical deaths in Bengaluru have dropped in recent years, incidents like these—and others after heavy rains—show that safety problems aren't going away just yet.
