Tragic end to 45-Year-Old's search for love
A man from Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh, was killed after being tricked into a fake marriage by Sahiba Bano (who used the name Khushi Tiwari) and her team.
They met him through social media, convinced him to travel to Gorakhpur for a staged wedding, and then murdered him just hours later.
Their plan was to claim his 18 bighas of land by pretending Sahiba was his widow.
Victim's family reported him missing on June 6
Police found the victim's body on June 6 after his family reported him missing.
Sahiba and her accomplices were arrested quickly—one of them, Kushal, turned out to be another scam victim.
Police from two states are now looking into whether this group targeted others online for similar fake marriage scams and property grabs.
The case has sparked fresh worries about online identity fraud in relationships.
