Tumakuru division to have 9-hour power cut on October 5

On Sunday, October 5, 2025, BESCOM is rolling out a planned power outage from 9:00am to 6:30pm.
The nine-hour cut is for some much-needed maintenance and system upgrades—basically, they're working to make your electricity more reliable in the long run.
What you can do to prepare for the outage
If you live in Chelur, Cholenahalli, Kodigenahalli, Nasur, Mastihalli, D. Kotegere or nearby villages—this one's for you.
BESCOM suggests charging your devices and storing water before the blackout hits.
They're also asking folks not to use heavy appliances during the outage since getting things back up could take longer depending on field conditions.
