UK vlogger calls out Delhi's choking smog: "It's a public health emergency"
UK travel vlogger Alex just put Delhi's air pollution in the spotlight with an Instagram video on December 14.
He and his friend are seen masked up, struggling through thick smog, while Alex describes breathing the air as "It is the equivalent of smoking 18 cigarettes a day."
He even shows how poor visibility is—less than 50 meters.
Why is everyone talking about this?
Alex's video blew up online right as Delhi hit some of its worst pollution levels this winter, with AQI numbers soaring into the high 750s.
In the clip, he urges authorities to act because people are "slowly dying in front of your very eyes."
Many viewers agreed and called for more international attention—one comment read, "All foreigners should make more videos like this so our government finally understands."
