UP BJP leader missing after firing gun at petrol pump
Pritam Singh Kisan, ex-BJP district president from Hamirpur, Uttar Pradesh, has been missing since after October 23.
This comes after a late-night scuffle at his petrol pump, where he reportedly fired his gun in self-defense but ended up being detained by police and had his licensed rifle taken away.
Even though he was released the next morning after a compromise, he went missing after October 23, after meeting some acquaintances.
Family files plea in court
Worried and unable to find him, Kisan's family filed a habeas corpus petition in Allahabad High Court, asking the police to bring him back safely—the court will hear their plea on Monday.
Despite tracing his phone near home and launching searches led by senior officers, police haven't found any leads yet.
With Kisan's close ties to state ministers, the case is drawing extra attention as everyone waits for answers.
