UP: Police find knives, signal jammers at prof's home
India
UP Police and the Anti-Terrorism Squad raided the Lucknow home of Parvez Ansari, a university teacher, after his sister was arrested for alleged links to a Jaish-e-Mohammad terror module.
Officers found six mobile phones, three knives, and digital devices during the search.
Ansari reportedly tried to escape but was caught for questioning.
Phones used to communicate with foreign handlers
Police say the phones were used to talk with contacts in Jammu and even foreign handlers using an international calling card.
They also seized a device meant to block signal tracking and a computer with a hidden disk that's now being examined.
The discovery of three large knives has raised more questions as investigators look deeper into possible terror activity in Uttar Pradesh.
