    What's the story

    The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) on Tuesday declared the results of the 2023 Civil Services mains examination.

    Aditya Srivastava and Animesh Pradhan emerged as the top performers in the examination, securing All India Rank (AIR) 1 and 2 respectively.

    A total number of 1016 candidates have been recommended for appointment.

    The candidature of 355 recommended candidates has been kept provisional.

    The roll numbers of all successful candidates have been released by the UPSC.

    The scores are accessible on the official UPSC website, upsc.gov.in.

    To access the results, candidates can navigate to the result link on the home page.

    A new tab will be opened in the form of a PDF, where they can search for their roll numbers.

    Process

    Examination and recruitment details of UPSC 2023

    The Civil Services Examination main exam was conducted in two shifts from September 15 to September 24.

    The recruitment process aims to fill a total of 1,105 vacancies.

    The shortlisted candidates will now have to sit for the final round of the selection process—which is a personality test by a UPSC board.

    A total of 347 general candidates, 116 from Economically Weaker Sections, 303 from Other Backward Classes, 165 from Scheduled Castes, and 86 from Scheduled Tribes have been shortlisted.
