After a blast near Delhi's Red Fort recently, Uttar Pradesh is on high alert.
The state's major cities—like Lucknow, Ayodhya, Agra, and Saharanpur—are seeing extra police checks in markets and at public events to keep everyone safe.

Police raid doctor's house in Lucknow

As part of these tighter measures, police and anti-terror squads raided Dr. Parvez Ansari's house in Lucknow.
While he wasn't home, officers took away important documents and devices.
Investigators say there may be a link between Dr. Ansari and Dr. Shaheen Shahid, who was recently arrested over a terror case in Faridabad.
Extra checks are also happening at metro stations and bus terminals across the state, with bomb squads ready just in case.
