Valuables recovered from Ahmedabad plane crash site
On June 12, 2025, Air India Flight 171 crashed just after taking off from Ahmedabad to London Gatwick, leaving only one survivor out of 244 people on board.
The plane went down near a medical hostel, causing major damage and making it tough to identify victims because of the fire.
Despite these challenges, teams have managed to recover personal items—like passports and even a Bhagavad Gita—to return to families.
Ongoing investigation into the crash
This is one of India's worst air disasters in decades. Air India has set up a support hotline for families and is helping however they can.
An investigation is underway to find out what went wrong.
For anyone who flies or cares about travel safety, it's a sobering reminder of how quickly things can change—and why support for those affected really matters.
