Vande Bharat now connects Banaras and Khajuraho: Here's the route

India

Prime Minister Modi just launched the Banaras-Khajuraho Vande Bharat Express, making it way easier to zip between two of India's most iconic cultural spots.
The new train covers roughly 6-7 hours—so you can likely plan a same-day visit without spending forever on the tracks.

Check the train timings and onboard services

It leaves Banaras early and gets you to Khajuraho by lunchtime. The return trip heads back in the afternoon, reaching Banaras before midnight.
You get comfy AC seating, Wi-Fi, entertainment screens, automatic doors, and food served onboard—basically all the travel perks.

The new route opens up more travel options

This route cuts nearly three hours off your journey and connects major religious and tourist hotspots like Prayagraj and Chitrakoot Dham.
It's also a big push for the "Dekho Apna Desh" campaign—making these historic places more accessible for students, backpackers, or anyone up for an adventure.
