Vande Bharat sleeper train finally arrives this December

India

India's first-ever Vande Bharat sleeper train is set to roll out in December, according to Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw.
After months of testing and tweaks for a smoother ride—like comfier seats and improved bogies—the team at BEML, with RDSO's oversight, is putting the finishing touches on the coaches.

Safety upgrades and smarter features

To keep things safe, the new sleeper will have fire-prevention tech like Arc Fault Detection Devices, better-placed AC ducts, and fire-resistant CCTV cables.
An earlier mistake with emergency alarm placement is being fixed so it's easy to reach if needed.
Plus, third-party checks will make sure everything meets strict European safety standards.
Even though there were some delays, the ministry says they're focused on launching a reliable and secure journey for everyone.
