'White-collar terror is a ticking time bomb': Ex-Intelligence chief warns after Red Fort blast

India

Lt Gen (retd) KJS Dhillon has raised the alarm about "white-collar terror"—terrorism involving educated professionals—saying it's a "ticking time bomb" for India.
His warning comes right after the Red Fort blast in Delhi and the bust of a Faridabad terror module.

Sleeper cells and educated youth: A growing concern

Dhillon pointed out that sleeper cells are now carrying out attacks, not just lying low.
He's especially worried about more incidents involving educated young people joining groups like Jaish-e-Mohammed.
The Delhi blast and Faridabad module are examples of white-collar terror, he said.

NIA uncovers bigger plot behind Delhi blast

The National Investigation Agency found that the Red Fort blast was part of a much larger plan.
Investigators seized nearly 3,000kg of explosives and equipment intended for coordinated attacks across India—showing just how serious the threat is.

Who is Lt Gen (retd) KJS Dhillon?

Dhillon led India's Defence Intelligence Agency until 2022, chairs IIT Mandi's Board now, and wrote Operation Sindoor—a book on India's counterterror ops inside Pakistan.
