Delhi: Woman allegedly gang-raped, filmed and robbed by cab driver

A woman in Delhi has alleged a cab driver and his friend raped her at gunpoint, filmed the crime and robbed her before letting her go. The incident happened early morning on November 15 in Greater Noida. However, cops claim there are contradictions in her statement. But the matter is being investigated. A hunt is on for the alleged rapists.

    What happened?

The woman says late night on Tuesday, she booked a cab from Hauz Khas to Rohini. On the way, the driver picked up another man. Both started misbehaving with her. When she objected, they threatened her, took her to a deserted stretch near Pari Chowk and raped her while filming the act. Then they fled with her jewelry, cellphone and Rs. 12,000 cash.

Cops are analyzing CCTV footage, raiding taxi booths

After the woman returned home and told her husband about it, he informed police. But according to DCP Ishwar Singh, "When we are cross-questioning, then she changes her statement." She has been sent for medical examination and is being counseled. Cops are now examining CTV footage to identify the culprits and their vehicle. Teams are also searching taxi booths to nab the two accused.

Earlier, a man was held for raping an 18-month-old infant

This comes days after a man was arrested for allegedly raping his 18-month-old neighbor in Shahpur Jat. The accused sexually assaulted the toddler when her parents had left her in his protection and care while they had gone to work.
