Woman tries to rob jeweler with chili powder, gets slapped

A woman attempted to rob a jewelry store in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. The incident occurred on November 3, around 12:30pm, at a gold and silver shop near the Ranip vegetable market, and was captured on CCTV. The woman entered the store under the pretense of being a customer and suddenly threw chili powder at the shopkeeper's eyes in an apparent robbery attempt.

However, the shopkeeper was quick to react as he jumped up and slapped her nearly 20 times in 25 seconds. The CCTV footage of the incident shows him dragging her out of the store while continuing to slap her. Despite this, the shopkeeper has refused to file a complaint about the incident.

Police investigating the case
Ranip Police Station PI Ketan Vyas confirmed that they are investigating the case using CCTV footage. The Ahmedabad Police also said they have started an investigation into the incident. They met with the complainant twice to convince him to file a complaint, but he remains unwilling. Despite this, an investigation is ongoing to locate the accused based on available evidence.
