Yogi Adityanath urges 0 tolerance for trouble during Kanwar Yatra
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has told officials to adopt a zero-tolerance approach on any trouble during the Kanwar Yatra, calling the pilgrimage important for social harmony.
He also wants fast action against fake news and anything that could disturb peace while the Yatra is on.
Bareilly prioritized during Kanwar Yatra
Bareilly is getting special attention this year since the Kanwar Yatra overlaps with Ala Hazrat Urs.
The CM appreciated local Muslims for keeping Urs celebrations low-key and serving vegetarian meals out of respect.
So far, 70,000 pilgrims have moved smoothly through Ghaziabad. For safety, there's more patrolling under Mission Shakti and strict action promised against offenders.
Adityanath also asked officials to be ready for floods and heavy rain, making sure relief reaches villages quickly and fertilizers are distributed transparently.
