What's the story

In the past few years, bridal trends have drastically changed. However, the shift in Indian bridal styles toward something more straightforward and organic is a positive development. The past year has been a canvas painted with myriad styles, from classic sophistication to modern daring. In this retrospective, we unveil the trends that graced the aisles, adorned brides, and made wedding dreams come true.

Statement kaleeras

Statement kaleeras

We must say that brides have utilized kaleeras well this year. From those with decorations to those who make bold style statements, we have seen it all this year. Modern brides have gravitated towards statement kaleeras as the focal point. Many brides shifted from the traditional kaleeras and opted for contemporary designs and conceptualized themes including floral kaleeras, or those with jhumkis.

Hairstyle

Open-haired brides

When it comes to hairstyles, brides opted for flowing waves. Several brides embraced a more carefree feel by letting their hair down and enhancing it with waves and extensions to play up the volume and length. Bridal teams gleefully adopted the open hairstyle trend with many brides opting for loose hair for their wedding day, giving way to the minimalistic bridal look.

Blouses

Full-sleeved blouses

Full-sleeved blouses were a fashionable choice among brides this year, whether it's for a summer wedding or a winter wedding. And we don't complain! These full-sleeved blouses have won our hearts, whether they are the lavishly embroidered bridal-style ones or the tastefully simple ones with chikankari designs. These blouses along with sleek silhouettes and bolder necklines, stood out among the brides.

Colors

Neutral, earthy tones

Wedding lehengas are traditionally worn in reds and pinks, but more and more brides choose earthy and neutral hues this year. Brides are increasingly drawn to hues like burned oranges, vivid magenta, olive greens, and even ochre and purples. Not to forget the whites and the pastel-colored outfits. Pastel shades like millennial pink, mauve, creamy mint, peach, etc. were in trend in 2023.
