What's the story

Majority of pollsters have predicted an easy win for the NDA in the 2025 Bihar Assembly polls. Matrize predicted 147-167 seats for the NDA, People's Insight 133-148 and Peoples Pulse 133-159. Dainik Bhaskar has also predicted an NDA win at 145-160 seats. However, it is worth noting that exit polls are not always accurate, and actual results will only be declared on November 14.

Others

More predict NDA win

P-Marq, like other pollsters, predicted a landslide victory for the NDA. It predicted the Nitish Kumar-led alliance to win 142-162 seats, while the Tejashwi Yadav-led Grand Alliance was predicted to win 80-98 seats. JVC also gave the NDA 135-150 seats. It predicted 88-103 seats for the opposition alliance. Meanwhile, Chanakya Strategies predicted the NDA to win 130-138 seats and the Grand Alliance 100-108 seats.

Prashant Kishor

Disappointing start for Prashant Kishor

DV Research also predicts the NDA to win, taking home 137-152 seats. TIF Research forecasts 145-163 seat victories for the NDA. If the forecasts come true, Prashant Kishor's new Jan Suraaj Party is looking at a disappointing start. The majority of pollsters projected that the party would win less than five seats.

Opposition

Less than 110 seats for opposition

Almost all pollsters have predicted the opposition alliance to win less than 110 seats. Chanakya Strategies was the most generous, predicting the Grand Alliance to win 100-108 seats. Times Now's JVC predicted 88-103 seats, Peoples Pulse 75-101, People's Insight 87-102. Both Dainik Bhaskar and TIF Research have predicted the Mahagathbandhan to win less than 100 seats.

Exit

Last prediction

The Bihar Assembly has 243 seats, and polling was held in two phases on November 6 and November 11. A total of 122 seats are needed for a simple majority. In the previous 2020 elections, most exit polls predicted a narrow win for the RJD-led Mahagathbandhan with 125 seats, but the NDA won with 125 seats against the Mahagathbandhan's 110 seats.
