After over-night bus journey, Congress MLAs reach Hyderabad

    What's the story

Congress and JD(S) MLAs travelled in a bus from Bengaluru to Hyderabad, late Thursday night. The decision was taken by senior party members to prevent horse-trading.

Congress MLAs reached Park Hyatt hotel in Telangana capital, earlier today and were shifted to Taj Krishna hotel. JD(S) legislators are expected to arrive soon.

Party leaders alleged aviation authorities denied permission for chartered aircrafts, hence they travelled by road.

Was permission really denied? Civil Aviation minister refutes claims

On Shivakumar's "The central government was kind enough to refuse all permission for flights so taking the road," allegation, Jayant Sinha, Civil Aviation Minister had a rejoinder.

Sinha tweeted, "Domestic charter flights do not require DGCA approval. They have to get their flight plan approved by local Air Traffic Control and then are free to fly."

He promised to give more facts later.

    Why?

MLAs being fenced to 'protect' from BJP

JD(S) leader HD Kumaraswamy said all the legislators will be kept together in the same hotel in the Telangana capital.

"We need to take some precautions to prevent horse-trading," he said.

Former Home Minister Ramalinga Reddy alleged few BJP leaders managed to get into the Eagleton hotel and attempted bribing the MLAs. He said after BS Yeddyurappa took the oath, security was compromised.

    Details

Floor test tomorrow, both parties confident of themselves

The Supreme Court ordered a floor test tomorrow, giving Yeddyurappa a little over 24 hours to prove his majority.

Since the fractured mandate in Karnataka elections came out, Congress-JD(S) have alleged BJP was attempting to get its MLAs on their side by hook or crook.

BJP denied the allegations and said it will prove majority in the assembly. But will they?
