Janardhana Reddy: News

Janardhana Reddy is an Indian industrialist, entrepreneur, and politician who is a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). He was born on January 11, 1967, in Karnataka and has a pre-university college education. In 1989, Reddy started a residuary non-banking finance company named Ennoble India Savings & Investment Company Limited under the RBI. The company had 125 branches across South India with a turnover of 350 crores. He was the first person belonging to the non-banking sector to obtain an appreciation letter from the RBI. He took over Obulapuram Mining Company in 2001 and the increase in iron-ore prices led to his rise. In 2004, he got the iron-ore mining license in Andhra Pradesh’s Anantapur district. He had also founded the Bramhani Industries in the Kadapa district which provided employment to over 10,000 people. During the 1999 Lok Sabha elections, Reddy gained the political spotlight as the Reddy brothers were working under Sushma Swaraj’s campaign. Over the years, Reddy has been involved in different controversies like Operation Kamala, the case of illegal mining, bribing of the Hyderabad Special Court Judge T. Pattabhirama Rao, and spending Rs. 500 crore on his daughter’s wedding.
