    What's the story

Results for the three Lok Sabha seats - Shivamogga, Ballari and Mandya - and two assembly constituencies - Jamkhandi and Ramanagaram - in Karnataka are set to be declared on Tuesday.

The polling took place on Saturday, and saw a 67% voter turnout.

Counting for the seats began on Tuesday morning.

    Here are the latest details.

    Lok Sabha seats

Leads based on latest counting round

For the Shivamogga seat, BJP candidate B Y Raghavendra was leading JD(S) candidate Madhu Bangarappa by a margin of 15,583 votes after the fifth round of counting.

Meanwhile, for Ballari, Congress candidate V S Ugrappa was leading BJP candidate J Shantha by a margin of over one lakh votes.

At Mandya, JD(S) candidate L R Shivaramegowda was leading BJP candidate Siddaramaiah by over one lakh votes.

    Assembly seats

BJP on the backfoot in both Assembly seats

For the Ramanagaram Assembly seat, Karnataka Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy's wife Anitha Kumaraswamy got an easy break when BJP candidate L Chandrashekhar abruptly retired from the contest. There's no other credible competition.

Meanwhile, for the Jamkhandi Assembly seat, Congress candidate Anand Nyamgouda was leading BJP candidate Srikant Kulkarni by a margin of 5,543 votes after the third round of counting.
