Election snapshot at 9pm: Latest numbers
Assam: The BJP-led NDA won 102 seats, while the Congress-led alliance bagged just 19 seats and is leading in 2 others.
Puducherry: The ruling AINRC-led NDA clinched 17 seats, relegating the Congress alliance to 6; others won 6 seats as well.
Tamil Nadu: TVK clinched 87 seats and has 20 leads, while the DMK alliance won 54 seats, with 20 leads, followed by AIADMK-NDA at 53 seats (38 wins, 15 leads).
West Bengal: The NDA delivered a landslide victory with 208 seats (163 wins, 45 leads); the TMC won 57 seats and is leading in 22 others, while the Left won a single seat.

UDF's massive comeback: ECI declares Kerala results
The Congress-led UDF has officially secured victory in Kerala, as per the latest ECI data, winning 102 of 140 seats to defeat the ruling CPI(M)-led LDF. Notably, the Congress alone bagged 63 seats. On the other hand, the LDF was restricted to just 35 seats, including 26 won by the CPI(M).

BJP set to form government in WB for 1st time
Unlike Tamil Nadu, the remaining states have delivered decisive mandates as counting nears its conclusion.
In West Bengal, the BJP-led NDA has breached the majority mark with a landslide lead in over 200 seats, and is set to form its first-ever government there. Meanwhile, Assam has returned a pro-incumbency verdict for the NDA, with a lead in 101 seats. The Congress-led UDF has swept Kerala, currently with a 99-seat tally, unseating the LDF in a massive comeback.
As for Puducherry, the AINRC-led alliance has comfortably retained power by crossing the halfway mark with 22 seats.
Tamil Nadu likely headed for hung assembly
As of the latest trends at 7:00pm, Tamil Nadu is likely staring at a hung assembly. While Vijay's TVK, the single-largest party, is either leading in or has won 108 constituencies, it remains 10 seats short of the 118-seat majority mark. The DMK alliance and the AIADMK-NDA are too far behind with a total of 75 and 51 seats (wins and leads), respectively. The focus is now shifting to smaller parties and independents who could act as kingmakers.
How the numbers are looking in Assam, Kerala, Puducherry
In Assam, the BJP-led NDA is leading in or has won 101 out of 126 seats, heading toward a landslide victory, while in Kerala, the Congress-led UDF has taken 98 seats (97 wins, 1 lead), securing a majority. The AINRC-led NDA has retained control in Puducherry, crossing the halfway mark with 17 seats (13 wins, 4 leads).
BJP crosses 200-mark in WB; TVK yet to touch majority mark
The saffron wave shows no sign of slowing in West Bengal, with the BJP now leading in or winning 205 seats (67 wins, 138 leads), while the TMC trails far behind with 82 seats (25 wins, 57 leads). Meanwhile, in Tamil Nadu, Vijay’s TVK leads the pack with 46 wins and 62 leads, maintaining its status as the single-largest party ahead of the DMK alliance (75 total seats) and the AIADMK-NDA (51 total seats).

Victory address: PM Modi to join celebrations at BJP HQ tonight
With the BJP poised for a historic win in West Bengal and a sweep in Assam, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to attend the saffron party's celebrations at its New Delhi headquarters. Banerjee in Bhabanipur amid delay in result announcement
West Bengal CM has reportedly rushed to the counting center for her Bhabanipur constituency, as it witnessed a long delay in the announcement of results during the 12th counting round. Her BJP rival, Adhikari, also reached the counting station as a controversy erupted over the delay.
UDF sweeps Kerala, wins 63 seats
Turning to Kerala, the Congress-led UDF has already secured 63 seats and has a lead in another 36. The ruling LDF has won 25 seats and is ahead in 10 others, while the BJP has won one and is leading in another.
TVK wins 11 seats, DMK alliance bags 4
According to India Today, the TVK has won 11 seats in Tamil Nadu and is currently leading in 96 others. It is followed by the ruling DMK alliance, which is ahead in 68 seats and won four more. Meanwhile, the AIADMK-NDA is leading in only 53 constituencies.

In Assam, the NDA has won 53 seats, and is leading on 46 more, while the Congress has a lead in 22 constituencies and bagged one.
Congress to be kingmaker in Tamil Nadu?
Vijay’s TVK has emerged as Tamil Nadu's single-largest party, leading on 92 seats and winning 11 constituencies. However, it is still short of the 118-seat majority mark required to form a government and needs allies to bridge the gap.
Reportedly, the Congress (leading on four seats; bagged one seat) has already sent feelers, with Vijay’s father suggesting the TVK was ready for a power-sharing agreement with the grand old party. It may also need the support of other smaller parties or independents to reach the halfway mark.
