What's the story

If you are worried about the future of your business, start acting today. According to a study, in 2030 every organization will be a technology organization and businesses need to start acting now to future-proof their infrastructures. Dell Technologies, Institute for the Future (IFTF) and 20 leading experts reached this conclusion by taking into consideration, how emerging technologies are changing our lives. Here's more.

Artificial intelligence

Emerging technologies will bring the change

The report titled 'The Next Era of Human-Machine Partnerships' delves into the impact of artificial intelligence, robotics, virtual reality, augmented reality and cloud computing on the next decade and how our lives will get transformed by it. It says, in the future, humans will be able to transcend their limitations and become "digital conductors" i.e. using technology as an extension to manage daily proceedings.

Jobs

Jobs will mean specific assigned tasks

By 2030, human workers will not get replaced by machines, but jobs will cease to be limited to geographical locations. It would involve carrying out a series of tasks. Specific skills and competencies will be sought after and the best talent will be taken in by the organizations sans borders. Even AI assistants will go through a massive change and take care of humans.

Knowledge

The future looks promising

The study says that almost 85% of the jobs that will be available in 2030 have not even been invented yet. They will emerge as technology progresses. In this future, the ability to attain knowledge at a faster rate than one's peers would be considered more valuable than the knowledge itself. Let's wait and see how many of these statements come true in 2030.
