Airtel TV becomes top free app on Google Play Store

Airtel TV has become the top Android app under the 'Free Apps' category on Google Play Store. It has also secured the second position in the 'Entertainment' category on Apple App Store, becoming the second most downloaded entertainment application on iOS devices. The app's rising popularity can be credited to offers like free subscription until June 2018 and 1GB free data for signing in.

The app's Live TV service offers 350 channels

The most noted feature of the Airtel TV app is its Live TV service. Under this, users are offered over 350 Live TV channels and over 10,000 movies and TV shows on the platform. To provide a wide range of movie and TV show offerings, the Airtel TV app has partnered with content providers like Eros Now, HOOQ, and Sony LIV.

Airtel TV offers the entire catalog of Hotstar content

The company has also become the first operator to collaborate with Star TV and bring the entire catalog of Indian video streaming service Hotstar to its platform. Subscribers can watch content on the app in 15 different languages including Hindi, English, Telugu, Tamil, and Malayalam. The Airtel TV app sports rich features like Time Shift, Catch Up TV, YouTube support, and Multi-Device Access.

Airtel users also benefit from a free Amazon Prime membership

In a masterstroke, Airtel collaborated with e-commerce giant Amazon last year. Post that, the company's postpaid customers using a plan of Rs. 499 or above could avail a free Amazon Prime subscription. The subscription is valid for a year and can be used for both Amazon Prime Video and the standard Amazon Prime fast delivery services.
