iPhone X available for Rs. 55,000. But there's a catch

If you're looking to buy a new iPhone, the latest iPhone Xs and Xs Max are great. However, these flagship smartphones will lighten your pockets significantly. So, what's better than these new iPhones? Perhaps, a refurbished iPhone X. And interestingly, Apple has started selling the refurbished version of its 2017's flagship for as low as $769 or roughly Rs. 55,000. Here's everything to know.

The refurbished iPhone X won't cost you a fortune

Though Apple offers a bunch of refurbished products, it has started selling the refurbished version of iPhone X for the first time since its launch in 2017. The unlocked models, with 64GB and 256GB of storage, are listed at $769 and $899 respectively in the US. In comparison, a brand new iPhone X with equivalent storage costs $999 and $1,049, respectively.

Refurbished iPhone X is also available in the UK

Notably, Apple is selling refurbished and unlocked iPhone X models in the UK as well. In the UK store, the 64GB variant is priced at £769 while the 256GB storage model is listed at £899.

Apple's refurbished product is as good as brand new

According to Apple, all its refurbished products are rigorously inspected and are covered under the company's one-year limited warranty and 14-day return policy. All refurbished iPhone models come in a white box with a new battery, outer shell, accessories, and manuals. Moreover, with AppleCare+ plan, you can extend the warranty of refurbished iPhones by upto two years from the original date of purchase.

Here's how you can order a refurbished iPhone X

Simply head to Apple's Certified Refurbished page and under Featured Offers, you can find the iPhone X deal. At the time of writing, both the 64GB and 256GB storage models were available on UK and US stores. Unfortunately, Apple doesn't deliver to India. So, all Indian customers can try calling up their relatives considering unlocked iPhones work in India (however, you can't claim warranty).

Meanwhile, here's a look at iPhone X's specifications and features

The Apple iPhone X features a 5.8-inch Super Retina AMOLED display with a resolution of 2,436x1,125 pixels, all-glass body and is IP67-rated. Under the hood, the flagship phone is powered by the A11 Bionic chipset, paired with 3GB RAM and 64GB/256GB of non-expandable storage. Lastly, it packs a 2,716mAh battery and supports iOS 12, Apple Pay as well as wireless charging.

In terms of camera, the iPhone X sports a 12MP (f/1.8) wide-angle camera with OIS, 1.4-micron pixels, paired with a 12MP (f/2.4) telephoto lens with OIS and 2x optical zoom. Up front, the wide notch houses 7MP (f/2.2) TrueDepth RGB camera with Face ID support.
