Apple iOS 26 introduces AI-Driven battery saver
Apple is rolling out Adaptive Power, an AI-powered feature in iOS 26 that quietly helps your iPhone last longer by making smart tweaks behind the scenes.
But heads up—it only works on newer models with Apple Intelligence chips, like the iPhone 15 Pro, 15 Pro Max, all iPhone 16 models, and the upcoming iPhone 16e.
How Adaptive Power works
Adaptive Power targets battery-draining activities like gaming and video recording by dimming your screen and slowing down certain tasks—without making your phone feel sluggish.
While iOS 26 supports devices as old as the iPhone 11, this feature needs special hardware, so regular iPhone 15 users miss out.
It's also set to play a big role in Apple's slimmest phone yet—the rumored iPhone 17 Air.
What's the difference from Low Power Mode?
Unlike Low Power Mode (which cuts off background stuff), Adaptive Power uses AI to make real-time adjustments only when you're doing power-hungry things.
You can keep using your phone normally while still squeezing out extra battery life.
Look for this feature when iOS 26 launches alongside the new iPhones in September!
