ChatGPT now creates personalized Christmas videos with just an emoji
What's the story
OpenAI's ChatGPT has added a unique feature for the holiday season. As teased by Sam Altman, the CEO of OpenAI, you can now prompt ChatGPT with a single emoji and get a personalized Christmas-themed video made by Sora in return. The process is simple: just send as a prompt to ChatGPT and it will ask you to upload or take a selfie.
Video generation
Sora creates personalized Christmas videos
Once you upload or take a selfie, ChatGPT hands over the task to Sora, an AI model that creates funny and personalized Christmas videos. The video is based on what ChatGPT knows about you from previous interactions. However, do note that you have no control over what Sora creates in terms of aesthetics, theme, or content of the video.
Video outcome
Santa's verdict in the personalized videos
The personalized Christmas videos generated by Sora come with a verdict from Santa. He either tells you that you've been good this year and brings something you'd like, or that you've been bad and brings something you'd hate. This feature adds an element of fun and surprise to the holiday experience, making it more interactive for users.
Feature constraints
Limitations and expansion of the feature
Currently, you can't create multiple videos with this feature. If you start a new chat session and send again, it will just return the same video. Alternatively, the Easter egg does seem to work with other Christmas-related emojis. This could be an indication that OpenAI might expand this feature in the future for more holiday themes.
