China just flexed its humanoid robots at the World Robot Conference and World Humanoid Robot Games in Beijing.
These robots aren't just for show: they can handle tasks like laundry and packing, and one, called Tien Kung Ultra, wowed everyone by running a 100-meter sprint in an impressive 9.39 seconds.
US restricts foreign made humanoid imports
China now leads the global humanoid robot market, shipping many units worldwide.
The robots use real-time AI with fast 5G technology but still struggle with battery life and energy demands.
Meanwhile, US agencies have restricted imports of new foreign-made humanoid robots and added Chinese robot maker Unitree to a list of companies it says have ties to the Chinese military, while Beijing has rejected such accusations.
