CMF launches its first over-ear headphones with 100-hour playback, ANC
What's the story
CMF, a budget-centric brand under Nothing, has launched its first-ever pair of over-ear wireless headphones. The new product, CMF Headphone Pro, borrows some features from Nothing's Headphone 1 but comes at a much cheaper price tag of $99 (approximately ₹8,700). The headphones are available in the EU and UK starting today, but US customers will have to wait until October 7 to get their hands on these innovative audio devices. It's still unclear when this product will launch in India.
Design details
The headphones are available in three colors
The CMF Headphone Pro comes in three subtle color options: dark gray, light green, and light gray. You can also add a bit of color with replacement ear cushions that come in bright orange or light green for $25. Unlike Nothing's first over-ears, the CMF Headphone Pro uses tactile buttons instead of touch-sensitive panels for easy navigation.
Control capabilities
Features customizable action button, multi-function roller
The CMF Headphone Pro features a round power/Bluetooth button on one side and an action button on the other, both of which can be customized via the Nothing X app. The headphones also come with a multi-function roller for adjusting volume, controlling playback, and managing ambient sound levels. A unique feature called Energy Slider lets you quickly adjust treble and bass balance without opening the app for EQ adjustments.
Performance
Adaptive ANC, impressive battery life
The CMF Headphone Pro features adaptive active noise cancellation (ANC) that adjusts based on ambient noise intensity. The company claims you can get up to 100 hours of playback with the Pro's 720mAh battery fully charged, but that drops to around 50 hours with ANC turned on. A quick five-minute charge can give you up to five hours of listening time.
