Compare AI models for Indian languages with new online tool
Technology
IIT Madras's AI4Bharat team has rolled out Indic LLM-Arena, an open-source platform that lets anyone compare how well different AI language models handle Indian languages and cultural contexts.
Built with help from Google Cloud, it uses votes from thousands of anonymous users to rank the models—so it's crowdsourced and pretty democratic.
Tool supports multiple Indian languages and code-mix scenarios
Indic LLM-Arena supports multiple Indian languages and code-mix scenarios, including Hinglish and Tanglish, letting users see which AI gives the best real-world answers in local languages.
The team plans to add features for audio and visual tasks soon, plus update leaderboards regularly.
This should make it way easier for startups and businesses to pick the right AI tools for India's unique needs.
