Don't miss moon's visit to Gemini on November 9-10

Technology

Heads up, sky watchers!
On the night of November 9-10, 2025, you'll get to see the moon glide right between bright Jupiter and Pollux in Gemini.
Look up around 10pm local time—if you've got binoculars, all three should fit perfectly in your view.

When to catch the moon

The moon will line up directly between Jupiter and Pollux around 12:10am. Central Time (that's 06:10 UTC), but folks further west can catch it a bit earlier on November 9.
By morning, the moon will have moved away, leaving Jupiter and Pollux shining on their own.

Jupiter's moons are a must-see!

Jupiter will be near the moon at about 30 degrees above the horizon at midnight—great for checking out its four big moons (Io, Europa, Ganymede, Callisto) through a telescope.
Their positions shift through the night, so there's plenty to see if you stay up!
