US-based Garmin has expanded its portfolio of wearables in India with the all new Fenix 6 series smartwatches.
The premium range includes a bunch of new, rugged multisport GPS devices suited for activities such as mountain biking, skiing, trail running, and diving.
These Garmin wearables will go on sale in India via leading online and offline stores at a starting price of Rs. 79,990.
About the Garmin Fenix 6 range
The Garmin Fenix 6 series includes the Fenix 6, Fenix 6X, Fenix 6S as well as the Sapphire editions of these models which feature a scratch-resistant sapphire lens.
The Fenix 6 has a 1.3-inch display, while the Fenix 6X and 6S come with a 1.4-inch and 1.2-inch display, respectively.
There's also a top-end Fenix 6X Pro Solar model that features a solar charging lens.
The Fenix 6 series offers sophisticated health tracking as well
The Fenix 6 smartwatches come with built-in activity profiles for sports like running, skiing, swimming et al. They also provide VO2 max estimates, Pulse Ox blood oxygen saturation, training status with adjustments for heat and altitude, and built-in heart rate sensor.
There is also a "Body Battery" feature which helps you monitor your energy levels and "PacePro" technology to provide a pace-strategy.
From ski maps to smartphone notifications
Alongside all the health and activity features, the Garmin Fenix 6 series comes with TopoActive Europe maps for outdoor adventures, ski maps for over 2,000 ski resorts worldwide, and 41,000 golf courses.
The smartwatches also have storage for up to 2,000 songs and can receive alerts for incoming calls, texts, as well as emails.
Lastly, all these wearables also support Garmin Pay.
Pricing and availability
The Fenix 6 series comes at a starting price of Rs. 79,990 and goes upto Rs. 1,14,990 for the top-tier Fenix 6X Pro Solar Sapphire edition.
In India, the range will be available via online platforms such as Amazon.in, Flipkart, Paytm Mall, and Tata CLiQ.
Notably, they will also be sold via offline stores such as Helios Watch Stores and Johnson Watch, among others.
