#LeakPeek: Google Pixel 5 XL could look like this
What's the story
Google Pixel 5, the expected successor to the Pixel 4, maybe months away from going official. However, we have an idea about how the Pixel 5 XL might look like. YouTuber Jon Prosser (Front Page Tech channel) leaked an alleged render of the Pixel 5 XL, revealing a new U-shaped triple-lens rear camera setup and signature Pixel elements like a contrasting white-colored power button.
Speculations
The camera bump will include an ultra-wide-angle lens
According to the leaked render, the Pixel 5 XL will have a Pixel 4-like texture on the back with a matte-finished glass body and a glossy U-shaped camera bump. Interestingly, the camera module is said to house the main sensor, telephoto lens, and a new ultra-wide-angle lens. Moreover, like previous Pixel phones, the Pixel 5 XL will continue to retain a contrast-colored power button.
Front design
Pixel 5 to retain Pixel 4's forehead design
According to the YouTuber, on the front, the Pixel 5 XL will retain the same Pixel 4-like forehead design. However, the top bezel will be slightly smaller. This design debuted on the Pixel 4 wherein the chunky top bezel houses a host of sensors and a Soli radar for touch-less Motion Sense technology, IR-based face unlock, and a single front camera.
Prototype
However, the new design is not yet final
According to Prosser, the source of the leaked render is "extremely trustworthy." However, this isn't the final design yet. The render image is one of the three prototypes that Google usually tests before settling for a new smartphone design. Prosser also notes that the engineering team has "about two months left" to finalize the new design.

Expect to see the Pixel 5 series in October
We expect to see the Pixel 5 XL sometime in October, considering Google follows its traditional launch cycle. However, before you see the flagship model, the tech giant is expected to unveil the Pixel 4a on May 12 at the company's I/O 2020 event.
