#LeakPeek: Honor 20 to feature in-display fingerprint sensor, triple rear-camera
As the successor to its Honor 10, Huawei-owned Honor is planning to launch Honor 20 sometime later this year. In the latest development, a Weibo post has leaked the key specifications of the upcoming flagship, revealing a triple rear-camera, in-display fingerprint sensor, and flagship internals. The tipster has also claimed that Honor 20 will start at around Rs. 31,700. Here's our roundup.
Honor 20: At a glance
As per the leaked image, the Honor 20 will feature a vertically-stacked triple lens array on the back panel. Further, the rear body is seen sporting a gradient finish but not a fingerprint scanner. This means Honor 20 could very well feature an in-display fingerprint sensor. Lastly, the phone is also said to offer a 6.1-inch display with a waterdrop-style notch.
Honor 20 tipped to offer a 48MP main camera
As per the tip-off, Honor 20's triple rear camera setup will comprise a 48MP main sensor, paired with a 20MP secondary sensor and a third 8MP sensor. The main camera is also said to offer a 3x optical zoom. Up front, the phone will come with a 32MP selfie snapper. Further, both the cameras would also offer a bunch of AI-based imaging enhancing features.
Under the hood
As per the leak, Honor 20 will be powered by a Kirin 980 chipset, paired with upto 8GB of RAM and upto 256GB of internal storage. Under the hood, it is said to pack a 3,650mAh battery with support for fast charging via the Type-C port. On the software front, the phone is tipped to come with Huawei's proprietary GPU Turbo Link performance-boosting technology.
The flagship phone is tipped to start at 2,999 yuan
According to the leak, Honor 20 will cost 2,999 yuan (approx. Rs. 31,700) for the base-end 6GB/128GB variant. Further, the mid-end 8GB/128GB and top-end 8GB/256GB models are said to be priced at 3,399 yuan (approx. Rs. 35,900) and 3,799 yuan (approx. Rs. 40,200), respectively.
