ISRO readies 1st uncrewed Gaganyaan test flight in 4 months
ISRO is almost ready to launch its first uncrewed Gaganyaan test flight in the next four months.
Announced by Chairman Dr. V Narayanan on National Space Day, this marks a huge milestone: 8,000 tests are already done and the mission is now in its "final leg."
ISRO targets 12 satellites, 8 launches
Gaganyaan is India's big leap toward sending astronauts into space on its own. This upcoming test will check the critical systems, but with no crew onboard yet, so it's safe and all about learning.
ISRO also plans to realize 12 satellites and is targeting eight launch vehicle missions during this financial year to boost communication, navigation, and Earth observation.
Looking ahead, they're aiming for even bigger things: more satellites with help from private companies, new missions like Chandrayaan-4 and a Venus mission, plus an Indian space station by 2035.
