    Reliance Jio announces cashback, data offers for Redmi Go buyers

    Reliance Jio has announced an exciting cashback of Rs. 2,200 and additional 100GB data on prepaid recharge plans for Xiaomi Redmi Go buyers. To recall, the recently launched phone features an HD display, long-lasting battery, mid-level interiors, dedicated expandable storage, and a front-and-rear camera. Redmi Go, which comes as the company's first ever Android Go-based handset, is available at Rs. 4,499. Here's more.

    Xiaomi Redmi Go: At a glance

    Redmi Go sports prominent bezels up front while the back looks clean with a single rear camera. It offers 5-inch HD (720 x 1280 pixels) touchscreen display with a 16:9 aspect ratio and a pixel density of 296ppi. In the camera department, the phone offers an 8MP (f/2.0) rear camera capable of recording videos at 1080p and a 5MP (f/2.2) selfie camera.

    The smartphone runs on Android 8.1 Oreo (Go edition)

    The Redmi Go is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 processor, coupled with 1GB RAM and 8GB of internal memory which is expandable up to 128GB via micro-SD card. The smartphone packs a 3,000mAh battery and runs on Android 8.1 Oreo (Go edition). Notably, Android Go operating system is optimized for low-end budget phones with 1GB of RAM or less.

    Xiaomi Redmi Go: Connectivity options and sensor details

    In terms of connectivity options, the Redmi Go supports dual-SIMs with 4G LTE, Bluetooth 4.1, Wi-Fi Direct, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n, and Hotspot. The smartphone comes equipped with GPS/A-GPS, GLONASS, micro-USB port and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Further, Redmi Go offers all standard sensors such as an accelerometer, proximity sensor, and ambient light sensor. However, it lacks a fingerprint scanner.

    Pricing, availability and offers

    Redmi Go, launched at a pocket-friendly price of Rs. 4,499, comes in two colors- black and blue. The smartphone is available for purchase via Mi India e-store, Flipkart and Mi home stores across the country. In terms of offers, Jio subscribers will get an instant cashback of Rs. 2,200 and 100GB additional data on Rs. 198 and Rs. 299 prepaid recharge plans.
