Meet T800: China's humanoid robot steps into the spotlight
Say hello to the T800, EngineAI's new humanoid robot that just made a splash in China.
After showing off its kung fu moves, the T800 proved it's no CGI trick—thanks to some behind-the-scenes footage.
CEO Zhao Tongyang's Instagram video helped showcase the robot's capabilities, and EngineAI secured a billion yuan boost from backers like Huangpu River Capital.
What makes T800 stand out
Built with lightweight magnesium-aluminum alloy, the T800 has 29 degrees of freedom for smooth movement and uses a 360-degree LiDAR system to "see" its surroundings fast.
It runs on serious AI power—an Intel N97 CPU plus NVIDIA AGX Orin module—and its battery keeps it working hard for up to four hours.
With mass production set for mid-2026, the T800 is gearing up to compete with big names like Tesla's Optimus and Boston Dynamics's Atlas in industrial jobs.
