What's the story

Microsoft is set to expand its gaming console range with the introduction of three new Xbox Series S/X models in October. The upcoming lineup includes a white discless Xbox Series X priced at $449.99 (₹37,760), a 2TB "Galaxy Black" special edition Xbox Series X retailing for $599.99 (₹50,340), and a 1TB Xbox Series S costing $349.99 (₹29,370). These models will be available in the US from October 15, and other markets from October 29. Pre-orders are now open.

Features

Design and specifications

The new discless Xbox Series X will feature a white exterior that matches the "robot white" of the Xbox Series S, Microsoft's smaller $299 (roughly ₹25,000) console. Despite rumors suggesting an upgraded heatsink for this white Xbox Series X, Microsoft has not confirmed any hardware changes other than the removal of the disk drive.

Titles

Players can look forward to these games

Microsoft has confirmed that these consoles "will be available in all current Xbox hardware supported regions and markets." The launch of these new consoles coincides with a busy holiday season for Xbox Game Pass. Gamers can look forward to releases like Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl, and Indiana Jones and the Great Circle.
