OnePlus 7 Pro, applauded for its fast performance and stunning display, has been marred with poor camera performance. Several users of the flagship phone have reported issues like unnatural selfies, smudginess in zoomed images, as well as inaccurate color and contrast in pictures. However, OnePlus has responded to these concerns, saying the upcoming firmware update will bring substantial improvements to the camera. Here's more.

The new update is coming in a "week or so"
In response to the issues reported by users, OxygenOS Product Manager Jimmy Z has said that a new update bringing improvement in the HDR effect, Nightscape mode as well as some tweaks based on the feedback, is coming in a "week or so". In his post, Jimmy also noted that the photos taken while testing the new firmware "look substantially better."

The multi Autofocus (PDAF+LAF+CAF) triple-lens rear camera comprises a 48MP (f/1.7, OIS) main lens, an 8MP (f/2.4, OIS) telephoto lens which offers 3x optical zoom, and a 16MP (f/2.2) wide-angle lens. Up front, there's a 16MP (f/2.0) selfie snapper.
