Expanding its portfolio of smartphones, OPPO has launched the Reno 2 series in India. The line-up comprises three phones including standard Reno 2, Reno 2F, and Reno 2Z. As for key highlights, all the three handsets offer an all-screen design, pop-up selfie camera, quad rear cameras, AMOLED display, in-screen fingerprint sensor, and mid-level internals. Here's our roundup.
Up front, OPPO Reno 2 sports an edge-to-edge notch-less look achieved by adopting a wedge-shaped pop-up selfie camera. On the rear, it houses quad cameras, a vertical LED strip, and dual-LED flash. The Reno 2F and 2Z, on the other hand, feature a similar all-screen look. However, they house a centrally aligned pop-up selfie camera as against the wedge-shaped module on the Reno 2.
The OPPO Reno 2 comes with a 6.55-inch AMOLED display with a full-HD+ (1080x2400 pixels) resolution, 93.1% screen-to-body ratio, and Gorilla Glass 6 protection. Separately, the Reno 2F and 2Z come with a similar camera setup but with a 48MP primary lens, 8MP ultra-wide-angle sensor, 2MP monochrome sensor, and another 2MP sensor to capture depth details.
To capture selfies, all the three phones house a 16MP front-facing shooter housed in a pop-up module. However, the Reno 2 come with a distinctive wedge-shaped pop-up module, while the Reno 2F and 2Z offer a typical centrally aligned pop-up camera.
The OPPO Reno 2 packs a Snapdragon 730 chipset, coupled with 8GB RAM and 256GB of internal storage. On the other hand, the Reno 2F and Reno 2Z draw power from Helio P70 and Helio P90 processors, respectively. Both smartphones offer 8GB RAM and upto 256GB storage. Furthermore, all the three phones are backed by a 4,000mAh battery with VOOC 3.0 fast-charging support.
