Android 16-based Realme UI 7.0 launched with 'Light Glass' design

Realme has officially unveiled its next operating system update, Realme UI 7.0, based on Android 16. The company promises that this update will provide users with smarter and faster interactions. The new interface will debut on the upcoming GT 8 Pro and later be available for other models such as the GT 7 Pro starting November onwards in a phased manner.

The update brings 'Light Glass Design' and Flux Theme 2.0
Realme UI 7.0 comes with a new Light Glass Design, inspired by glass textures for a transparent, deep, and fluid interface. The UI is similar to Apple's Liquid Glass UI. The update also introduces "ice cube" icons and a "misty glass" control center with a frosted effect for translucency. Other customization options include Flux Theme 2.0 with large text themes, panoramic Always-On Display support, live wallpapers, updated fingerprint animations, and interactive widgets as well as lock screen styles.

AI Notify Brief summarizes non-urgent notifications into briefings
Realme UI 7.0 also brings a host of AI features, including the new AI Notify Brief feature that summarizes non-urgent notifications into personalized morning/evening briefings. The camera app gets an AI Framing Master tool for intelligent composition guidance. On the performance front, Realme UI 7.0 introduces deeper optimizations with multi-task sidebar for quick access to essential tools/apps and Flux Engine to boost responsiveness by up to 15%, performance by up to 22%, and app scrolling smoothness by up to 29%.
User connectivity
Realme UI 7.0 expands ecosystem with iPhone, Apple Watch connect
Realme UI 7.0 also expands its ecosystem with iPhone and Apple Watch Connect, letting calls/messages show directly on Realme devices and sync health data from Apple Watch. For gamers, AI Gaming Coach analyzes usage patterns for real-time optimization and personalized insights. The update will be available first on the GT 8 Pro, which comes with Realme UI 7.0 pre-installed.

Update availability for other Realme devices
The rollout will be done in two phases, the first starting from Q4 of 2025. The first phase includes a wide range of models such as Realme GT 7 Pro, GT 7, GT 7 Dream Edition, GT 7T and more. The second phase will kick off in Q1 of 2026 with devices like Realme Narzo 70 Turbo and P1 Speed among others set to receive the update.
