Realme has launched a new V-series handset, the V25, in China. It is priced at CNY 1,999 (around Rs. 24,000) for the sole 12GB/256GB model. As for the key highlights, the smartphone features a 120Hz LCD display, a color-changing rear panel, a Snapdragon 695 chip, and a 5,000mAh battery. It is the first Snapdragon 695-powered Realme device to debut in China.

    Why does this story matter?

The V25 is the latest addition to Realme's portfolio of mid-range handsets in China. It succeeds the V15 from last year. Interestingly, one look at the V25 will remind us of the Realme 9 Pro that debuted in India last month. The only difference between the two is the presence of a 2MP depth lens in the former instead of an 8MP ultra-wide sensor.

    The handset features a 120Hz Full-HD+ display

The Realme V25 features a left-aligned punch-hole cut-out, a noticeable bottom bezel, and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. On the rear, it has a photochromic layer that automatically changes color from light blue to red when exposed to sunlight. The handset bears a 6.6-inch Full-HD+ (1080x2400 pixels) IPS LCD display with an aspect ratio of 20:9 and a 120Hz refresh rate.

It flaunts a 64MP main camera

The Realme V25 is equipped with a triple rear camera arrangement, comprising a 64MP main shooter, a 2MP macro sensor, and a 2MP depth lens. Up front, it sports a 16MP snapper for selfies and video calls.

A Snapdragon 695 chip powers the device

The Realme V25 is fueled by a Snapdragon 695 SoC, coupled with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. Under the hood, it runs on Android 12-based Realme UI 3.0 and packs a 5,000mAh battery with 33W fast-charging support. For connectivity, the handset offers support for Bluetooth 5.1, dual-band Wi-Fi, 5G, GPS, a 3.5mm audio jack, and a Type-C port.

    Realme V25: Pricing and availability

The Realme V25 carries a price-tag of CNY 1,999 (around Rs. 24,000) for the sole 12GB/256GB model. It is available in Morning Star, Purple MSI, and Sky Black color options in China.
