Samsung Galaxy A52 5G to offer 120Hz screen, IP67 rating
Samsung is gearing up to launch its Galaxy A52 5G model in the coming weeks. The upcoming handset will feature a 120Hz screen refresh rate, according to a report by SamMobile. The 4G variant of the A52 will bear a 90Hz screen. Separately, tipster Abhishek Yadav has claimed that the 5G variant will also offer an IP67-rated build quality. Here's our roundup.
The Samsung Galaxy A52 5G is expected to feature an aluminium-plastic body, a punch-hole cut-out, an IP67 build quality, and an under-display fingerprint scanner. On the rear, it will house a quad camera unit. The handset will bear a 6.5-inch Full-HD+ (1080x2400 pixels) Super AMOLED screen with a 20:9 aspect ratio and a 120Hz refresh rate.
The Samsung Galaxy A52 5G will be equipped with a quad rear camera arrangement, including a 64MP main sensor, a 12MP ultra-wide shooter, a 5MP macro lens, and a 5MP depth camera. For selfies and video calls, it will sport a 32MP front-facing snapper.
The Galaxy A52 5G will draw power from an octa-core Snapdragon 750G chipset, paired with up to 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage. It will boot Android 11-based One UI 3.1 and pack a 4,500mAh battery with 25W fast-charging support. The device should also offer support for dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, 5G, NFC, a headphone jack, and a Type-C port.
The official pricing and availability details of the Galaxy A52 5G will be announced at the time of launch, which is expected to happen in March. However, given the rumored specifications, it is likely to start at €449 (roughly Rs. 40,000).
