    What's the story

    After having recently launched the Galaxy S9 and S9+ smartphones, Samsung has expectedly slashed the prices of the Galaxy S8 and S8+ smartphones.

    The Galaxy S8 64GB model got a price cut of Rs. 7,910 and now costs Rs. 49,990, while the Galaxy S8+ 64GB model is now priced at Rs. 53,990 after a price cut of Rs. 11,000.

    The Samsung Galaxy S8+ 128GB model is now listed at Rs. 64,900. Further, users who buy the year-old smartphone offline can get a cashback of Rs. 10,000 via Paytm. To recall, the Samsung Galaxy S8 duo was updated with Android Oreo security patches in February.

    The Samsung Galaxy S8 features a 5.8-inch QHD+ display while the Galaxy S8+ features a 6.2-inch display.

    The Infinity Display is dual-edge with an aspect ratio of 18.5:9, and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5.

    Further, while the Samsung Galaxy S8 is backed by a 3,000mAh battery, the Galaxy S8+ has a 3,500mAh battery.

    The phones feature 4GB RAM, Exynos 8895 processor

    The Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ feature 4GB of RAM, 12MP 'Dual Pixel' rear cameras, and an 8MP selfie camera.

    They are powered by the company's own Exynos 8895 processor.

    Their connectivity options include 4G, VoLTE, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, USB Type C, NFC and GPS.

    The two smartphones sport features like iris scanner, fingerprint scanner, and facial recognition.
