Samsung Galaxy Watch shipments down 28% with share at 5%

Samsung's Galaxy Watch series hit a rough patch this year, with shipments dropping by 28% in the first quarter.
That means Samsung's global market share slipped from 7% to just 5%, even though the overall smartwatch market actually grew by 4%.
Apple Watch shipments up 21%
While Samsung lost steam, rivals like Apple and Huawei saw big gains.
Apple Watch shipments jumped 21%, especially in China and Europe, thanks to the popular Watch SE 3.
Huawei grew by 12%, Xiaomi by 9%, and imoo (kids' smartwatches) edged up by 2%.
Meanwhile, brands like Google Pixel Watch saw a slight dip.
